Sweet Silhouettes

This post is long overdue! For many months I’ve wanted to post about all the amazing artist and designers that are creating sweet silhouettes for family and children. You see, my newly remodeled entry has one wall adorned with JA “Greek Keyscroll” wallpaper in white on white, Ballard’s version of the X-Bench in apple green velvet and the Bauhaus Chandelier with nine lights. I am super anxious to place our family tree on this wall in the form of silhouette art. While the original silhouette was created in the 18th century, I am convinced that this age old tradition adds a wonderful contemporary, whimsical touch to any room and in this particular case, my entry!

With so many options to choose from, this design detail calls for a “Silhouette Round-up”…Which ones do you like?

1. Fire Hydrant Press remembers that pets are family too!

2. Kim shared with us Le Paperie Studio and raved about the silhouette art she received as a gift.

3. Sarah + Abraham offer the sweetest assortment of kids at play.

4. Feel good about personalized “Eco-Silhouettes” by Organica Deluxe. Mention “Nursery” for 10% off your purchase.

5. Pretty Faces makes some of the prettiest canvas silhouette art.

6. Silhouette proceeds will benefit Special Kids at For Charity.

7.Fun Times by Nella Designs is an original saying and design.

8. Simply Silhouettes provides everything from paper to pillows – oh and ultra sound images!

Psst…Now wouldn’t these all make wonderful Mother’s Day gifts!
