Design Reveal: Beautifully Recycled

Decorating for a new baby is easier than you think. The Greenwood family shows us that a few bucks and a few materials that you already own can create a lovely, warm sanctuary to welcome baby.

Olivia’s Mom says “Everything in the room is recycled in some way (except the tissue paper pom poms). Everything else was found in our home elsewhere. The books that are framed are old books belonging to myself, my grandma, my mother, etc. they are those “little golden” books. The fabric for the crib bedding I have had for 3 years waiting to do something awesome with it. Anyway we just love that its girlish but not too girlie and not “themey” and that we reused things that are sentimental to us. For example the clown on the armoire (way up high) was a gift from my great grandma when I was 5. Turns out Olivia now shares a bday with her. Sooo that’s special to us!”

The puck lighting that had been laying around the home for the past 5 years was finally put to good use. The lights are now mounted underneath the white shelf the blue bins are on. The space also used to be a closet but because the doors were missing, a changing table fits nicely in it’s place.
