Why do I leave play dates with major “toy envy”? My kids always have genuine enthusiasm for the toys at their friend’s house but when I track down and purchase those same toys, they sit idle in the playroom. No matter how colorful, musical, wooden or cool the particular toy-du-jour may be, kids seem to lose interest in them after only a few days leaving a mountain of stuff behind. It drives me insane! A friend of mine and new mother just introduced me to a fabulous new online toy rental service called Baby Plays. They market themselves as “The Netflix for Toys”. Brilliant since everyone is familiar with the concept. Babyplays offers over 250 different toys to rent which are organized by age or toy type. Just like Netflix, you have a ongoing queue which you can easily change with your child’s interest and development. I would love to get my hands on that Enchanted Palace play castle for my daughter for a few months. Nothing would give me more pleasure then to send it back once she is over it. Other categories include, musical toys, educational toys, puzzles, push toys and lots more. Rental plans start at just $26.99 for a box of 5 toys which can be kept for as long as 6 months. I’d pay that just for someone to come and take all the toys away each month that are gathering dust.
All BabyPlays toys not only meet, but exceed U.S. safety standards for Lead and other harmful toxins. Founder Lori Pope says, “”When I started this program I set out to create a solution to a problem that I was having. I am so delighted to know that BabyPlays is bringing affordable, high quality playtime to families all across America. It is my goal to always offer the most innovative, quality toys on the market. BabyPlays toys are 100% sanitary and I hope every member enjoys their membership as much as my twins do!”
