Elijah’s Tree Top Nursery

I wanted Elijah’s room to be something that promoted growth.  I read a lot of articles about nurseries, and found that green and trees/growing plants are healthy to have in a nursery because they promote wellness and development. So I went with the tree top theme.  I love all the little birds and owl accents in the room, and I love that when I walk into his nursery there is an immediate calming feeling about it.

Asher’s serene nursery

This room has a lot of things that have meaning to them. The tree wall decal  is my favorite piece in the room. Our daughter was stillborn at 27 weeks in November 2011 and I really wanted to incorporate her in to the room. I love the saying in the Notebook, if you’re a bird, I’m a bird so this tree with the pink and teal birds were perfect. I added scrapbooking stickers to spell out their names. At 26 weeks, we found out that Asher has a severe heart condition. We ended up going to Houston to have a fetal intervention done and we kept saying that the stars were aligning for him so that is where all the stars come in to play.

Simple Chic Secret Passage

We had so much fun designing a simple, modern, gender neutral nursery. With a gray foundation to work  from, we knew it would look great with any blue or pink accents that might come our way after baby was born.  Today, we have a beautiful two-month old girl who loves the bright and cheerful room whether she is getting her diaper changed or sitting in the rocking chair listening to her favorite stories.

Sweet Silhouette Tree Decal

Cute silhouette nursery I painted in Atlanta, Ga.   This nursery will also transition into a toddler room very easily. I wanted to keep the mood light and carefree. The black silhouettes add a bouyant quality to the room that really has a charming effect. We loved it and hope you all will too!  My painted tree is  available as a decal at my website www.anitaroll.com. Or at www.etsy.com/shop/AnitaRoll.
