Baby Girl Pink Striped Nursery
This pink striped nursery was designed for my daughter. I wanted it to be pink but not feel like a princess room. I wanted it to feel rustic and cozy but still feel feminine. I am so happy with the way it turned out.

I wanted girly and sweet room for my little girl :-
Creating this room for our sweet baby boy truly was a labor of love! My main goal for the nursery was to create something that was bright and whimsical but not too “babyish”, that way he can grow into it.
We wanted a modern baby. Not to babyish not too modern. Just enough that he can grow with it for years to come.
This contemporary nursery with a grey-aqua-orange color scheme features a towering giraffe, grey-striped walls, and antique touches. For more product information, please visit wisemamablog.com or the feature on Apartment Therapy. Photography by Andy Wise.
My clients decided early on they were not going to find out if they were having a boy or girl, so we knew right away we needed to make the nursery gender neutral and add a few accents when the baby was born.
We wanted a calm nursery for our baby girl. There were a lot of DIY projects, we’d say it was truly a labor of love :) We loved the way it turned out.
I am not a fan of animals or any of the prints, so I pulled some ideas from different places, and this is what we came up with!
This is a nursery for our first child, baby boy, Connor James. We wanted it to be classic and soft for a baby and not too cutesy/animated. I was also mindful of purchasing items that could be reused in other areas of the house when we changed his room into a big boy room.
This nursery was inspired by DIY, Pink, and modern little girls room she could grow into! Everything will adjust as she grows. There are also many small items that are very personal {such as the canopy above the bed is the Veil from my wedding}.
We wanted a special room dedicated for our first Baby. We decided to have a room with nautical design inspiration because here were we live in North Germany at Baltic Sea in a harbor city. Our baby will grow up surrounded by nautical and sailing influences and this was the best argument for us to choose this theme.Life quality here is strongly benefiting by the beaches, the ocean and the maritime climate. We live in a small apartment and for the birth of our baby family and friends came to visit, thats why we decided to add a very small guest corner.
Our girl’s room is a little vintage, a little modern and just a little bit of everything:). I really tried to create a space that would be transitional. My hope is to be able to replace the crib with a bed in two years and call it a big girl room.
I wanted a room that was bright, but not shocking. Sticking with colors vs. a theme (like animals or a place), the goal of the room is to grow with little Arwen and hopefully transition well with the rest of the house. For those who are looking to be a bit cost senstive: The total for this room was well under 1200 dollars (crib and everything)
Simple pale green nursery with touches of pink.

Fun, fresh + modern wall arrangement in Addison’s new big girl room.
A bright and playful nursery for my baby boy Max with pops of color and patterns.
My son Nolan’s nursery. The striped wall is not wallpaper. I hand painted this wall as the feature wall in the nursery choosing a darker green matching with the lampshade & parts of the bedding. I painted this room at 6 months pregnant. That may be no big deal to some as many women don’t have a very large belly at this point but I did so it was quite a challenge for me.I still have to finish painting the bathroom, but since he’s too little to use that yet, I’m in no rush!
We’re so proud of the nursery we put together for our first child, a baby girl named Olive, who we welcomed to this world on December 1st. Like many others we wanted her room to grow with her & not make it too “baby”. We also incorporated used pieces and DIY projects to keep the overall cost low.
