Cute and functional nursery
I wanted a modern, but comfortable nursery for my little boy. I didn’t want a theme so I picked a color scheme of navy and gray and threw in accents of orange for some pop.
A Parisian inspired bedroom fit for a little girl
We didn’t find out our baby’s gender, so wanted to find a gender neutral design that we could easily add pops of color to down the road. We started with grey and white, and then added in the yellow bedding, storage baskets and art to brighten it up.
In order to get the room ready, we built a custom radiator cover to incorporate more storage and cover up the ugly radiator. We also installed new hardwood floors. The closet previously had a very narrow door, so we widened the opening and are currently using curtains as doors: helps add some color, keeps little fingers free from pinching and is much cheaper than custom doors!
Decorating Carter’s nursery was a very exciting time for me. I love to decorate and this project was so dear to my heart. I wanted his nursery to be a place that could transition very easily. I didn’t want anything overly trendy or “babyish”. Yet, I wanted it to be a room that he would love as much as I do. It does have some newer trendier things but I also incorporated some refurbished and traditional items.
I designed this nursery especially for my daughter Marann. She was born February 19, 2013. The nursery is vibrant and full of life just like her. A little bit modern, a little bit whimsical, and filled with so many things we love!
I wanted to create a playful and clean nursery for my little man. I love a clean and simple design with pops of color. I didn’t want it to scream baby boy but rather a more simple design.
Gray and Pink nursery
This nursery was designed and decorated not knowing the gender of our baby. We used various shades of grey with splashes of bright yellow to make the room lively and inviting.
This preppy girl’s room was inspired by the hot pink cubes. When I saw them on ebay, I had to have them and design a room around them! We used Annie Selk fabric with graphic and geometric prints in hot pink and green with hints of blue and red. The drapes and pillows were custom with the fabric. The chair is re-upholstered also in Annie Selk fabric and painted white (ebay find). The dresser and side table are also vintage and have been re-painted. The lamp is from TJ Maxx and the owl lamp from Target. Frames from Ikea and canvas storage bins from Pottery Barn Kids. Duvet cover and euro sham from PB Teen. Prints from Etsy & deco pillow from etsy. Please contact me for any other details on sources used for this room.
A nature-inspired nursery for a baby girl with vintage, modern, and handmade touches.
I wanted to design a room that would feel very peaceful and playful. I also didn’t want to overdo it with a theme, focusing more on colors and fresh modern design. Almost everything that went into this room was either handmade or something I found at a discount store. No big splurges here!
We wanted a fresh take on a traditional nursery. We liked the idea of the lavender color scheme and the traditional vertical stripes.
Wanted a fun- Unique room for my special boy
I wanted a custom nursery that didn’t look too “themed” or too baby-ish. But, I also didn’t want a big girl nursery. We stuck with gray and white and added pink, mint, aqua, and green. I think it turned out perfect for our baby girl.
Bright and lively nursery for baby boy.
We wanted to create a fun nursery for our son. I wanted it to be bright and cheery. I did not want to follow a theme, but more colors. I wanted the colors to be something he could keep for a long time. I thought the stripes on one wall would help the room not look so much like a box and they are stimulating for a baby. He lays on his changing pad and coos at them everyday!!
I wanted an owl nursery for our little girl, but wanted to do it my way ;) The pink, yellow, and gray is pulled together throughout the room, with a little touch of owl.
