Mila’s Rainbow Party
Mila wanted a cheery and colorful theme for her birthday and she picked Rainbow. We brought in a fairy who did face painting, balloon twisting and magic show for entertainment.

A rainbow and Noah’s Ark themed party for a 1 year-old. We don’t have a house big enough for 30 guests so it was supossed to be in our backyard patio area. Of course the rain came down (ironically enough!) and stopped 30 minutes before the party started. With lots of help from family we quickly got the decorations up! You’ll be able to tell from some of the pictures that I didn’t have much time…
Rainbows, rainbows everywhere! I became a little obsessed with rainbows while planning my daughter Scout’s very first birthday party!Pinterest and Etsy have gorgeous stuff, but we’re always on a budget, so I figured I’d try DIY. I don’t sew, but I still wanted to throw a fun, colorful party — and I wanted to feel like I put some blood, sweat, tears, and a whole lotta love into it! And I LOVE how it all turned out!
We decided to do a whimsical and playful take on the April Showers bring May flowers and focused on the rain part of it and used all the rainbow colors.
Our almost-two-year-old always loved coloring so an art party was the perfect theme for her birthday party. It was such an easy theme since we used every color of the rainbow for decorations. This was a very budget-friendly event with a bunch of “big bang for your buck” DIY projects.
