A Modern yet Bohemian Zen Den

Hi Project Nursery!!!!
I wanted to create a space not only for baby but for mom as well! A space that wasn’t overloaded with chaos and themes but a place to relax and bond. The accent wall is a color called ‘chimney’ and it came out to be the perfect hue of calmness. I loved Mixing in the pink chair, because that’s MY chair after all, and it gives the boys room a bit of a feminine touch. It glides and swivels, too! All in all I wanted to be proud of the nursery and I most certainly am! My goal was to be featured on Project Nursery because they showcase all the best styles, themes, and nursery trends! This is my first baby and I can’t wait to welcome him to him new home next month!
Love,
Becca

Olivia’s Nursery

For Olivia’s nursery I based the entire room on the accent wall.  I chose silver star wallpaper and knew the theme would be greys and whites and ivory.  I love the animals I found for her walls!  They are so goofy looking!  One of my favorite places in her nursery is her library.  We received tons of books from my baby shower.  I’m an art teacher, so of course, all books are color coordinated to match my personality.  To give her room a pop of color, I added the blush pink area rug.

Bella’s Girly Animal Kingdom

This is my baby girl Bella’s nursery. I was inspired by hot rich colors and black and white. I wanted it to be girlie, hip, modern, warm but not baby baby. I created most of the art work including the animal paintings. The 3 round pink frames are the portraits of my dogs done with felt on embroidered hoops. The mobile also was done with felt. By the way, i had never ever painted, sewed or embroidered before! Amazing what being a mom does, huh? The bedding was custom done for me and some of the pillows I created. Most of the items I have been buying little by little. The cuckoo was from a canadian company. The chalk frame was from etsy.com. As was the tree sticker and butterflies. The zebra rug was from overstock. The day bed and dresser are from Ikea. The biggest splurge was the Netto Crib and the cuckoo clock. I wanted lots of animals and am still searching for more! I hope you like it!!!
