Leonis Nursery Reveal

I really wanted to create a neutral space that my baby girl can grow into. Other than the crib I used furniture pieces that can be used when she grows up as well as other places in the home. I wanted to stay away from the typical pinks and try some yellows with pops of powder blue. I still managed to make the space look extra cute and girly despite the colour palette. Im in love with how it turned out and it suits our baby girl so well :)

Neutral Baby Girl Nursery

I knew I wanted a neutral nursery with pops of muted colors here and there, that way it could easily be altered to fit her personality and interest as she grows.
I started with picking the white color for the wall and then picked the rug which is from Boutique rugs. I wanted to make sure I got something soft that would not be rough on her little body. Start with the bigger items first then move to smaller accent pieces. The crib came next purchased through project nursery, I stayed with a natural wood color so that it could be used for future babies! After the crib I picked the cream piper chair to match. Her dresser was a rattan thrift find that we repurposed and painted white. I suggest a dresser with many large drawers. After that I picked pieces such as the light fixture, end table, mirror and laundry basket all in rattan, natural wood colors.
her scent colors are dusty rose, blush pink and green.

Timeless Design Nursery

My inspiration from this nursery came from the fact that I wanted some thing that would be very timeless. I really wanted it to feel like no matter when you walked into this room, it would work for years to come. I focused on having calming colors that coordinate in all areas in all details of the room. With that being said, I really wanted to have artwork that didn’t scream “baby” at you. The art behind the crib actually came from the fact that I really wanted to feel calm and peaceful when I walked into this room since I knew I’d be spending lots of hours in here I also wanted to comfort. I reupholstered an antique rocker and designed it with specific colors in mind. Eleanor almost 2 years later I couldn’t be more thrilled with it

Neutral & Elegant Nursery

What can I say about this airy coastal-inspired nursery? It’s soft, elegant, minimal and just so effortlessly breezy. The design all came to life when my client shared a few products she had fallen in love with; including this gorgeous rosette rug and playful bird art print from LD Shoppe. It set the tone for the entire space and I quickly began pulling together muted, natural and textural elements… like an oversized waffle blanket, muslin crib sheet, boucle ottoman and beaded chandelier.
Pattern combinations can bring tons of visual interest to a space. I opted for a more subtle mix for this nursery with a textured dusty pink pillow paired with a golden and cream bird cushion. A bold pinstripe pillow adds depth and contrast against a dainty blue floral pattern and a few pink soft toys add a sweet feminine touch.
What’s a nursery without stellar furniture? This dresser and crib combo from Crate & Kids adds the perfect touch of sophistication with pops of antique brass alongside a gold floor lamp and geometric mobile. Since I love mixing metals we decided to go with a black curtain rod to tie-in some of the bolder elements in the room, as seen in the black metal mirror and framed art print. Finally, to soften things up just a smidge we sourced a wooden side table and I love the warmth it adds while complementing the warm creamy tones in the space.
I absolutely love how this nursery turned out; it feels playful yet mature, minimal yet layered and brings such a deep sense of calm. It’s like skipping through a field of wild flowers on a cool summer’s night! When a space evokes such a clear picture and makes you feel something so real… well that’s the cherry on top.

Modern Comfy Southern California Nursery

When I found out I was having a girl I knew I wanted to create a space for her that would be feminine, relaxing, but not frilly. I am not your frilly girly girl type of mom. With palm trees outside her nursery windows and the Southern California breeze flowing through the room I knew I wanted to do beach tan tones with just the right hint of apricot and blush. Project Nursery was a huge inspiration to me and it took me ages to lock down which decal I wanted to use. I definitely recommend taking the time to find a few inspiration photos you love and dive deep into making them a reality in your space. This project took me about 4 weeks to conceptualize and I am beyond happy with how it all turned out. We know she will love her time in here as an infant and beyond. Modern but totally cozy, we can’t wait for her to see it.

Palmer’s Nursery

We were chosen to be featured on a new tv show documenting the process of buying our new home while showing a before and after. If you didn’t know, we moved all the way from San Diego to Virginia Beach in June. I teamed up with multiple companies for this huge design project which took place in only TWO MONTHS. So long story short, we put our entire house together in only two short months which included the nursery of my absolute DREAMS.
One of the incredible companies I knew I wanted featured in our home immediately was Livette’s wallpaper. Each and every customizable design is absolutely gorgeous! I’m serious when I say the quality of their paper is incredible. It came in the most beautiful packaging and I was instantly surprised at the thickness of the wallpaper.
I had heard horror stories of wallpapering, but it was honestly a breeze because of the stretchable material and the fact that it’s removable. It’s basically like one big sticker which makes the entire process so much easier. The hardest part was lining the tops to our ceilings because the walls somehow come in at an angle! But once my husband and I made it halfway through we were able to finish up the rest really quickly. I was so relieved because we were running out of time and really had no room for mistakes (again, only two months to complete pretty much every room from scratch).
I was stunned at what a difference this simple Beige Brush Stroke design gave to the room and the final result really wouldn’t be the same without it. I love walking into the nursery and immediately feeling a sense of calm. I’m curious to know if you can feel how serene this room is through the images!

A Neutral Nursery for Baby Beaux

Today we are sharing the sweetest gender neutral nursery for baby Beaux Perkins.  With olive tree wallpaper as a backdrop, this cozy neutral nursery features linen crib bedding, neutral toned accessories and light wood accents.  White tones keep the room feeling bright and fresh.  Such a warm and inviting room for baby Beaux and his family!

Beaux’s room is an extension of Becca and Nathan’s home, which has a coastal farmhouse feel.  The nursery feels cohesive with the other rooms in the house, while at the same time creates a special space for baby.  This room is calm, peaceful and perfect for sleep time.

The modern style two-toned convertible crib from Wayfair features clean lines and bold angles that give it a sleek, minimalist design.  Bright white and soft toned wood make the perfect pairing.  “Let him sleep…” sign is from Etsy.

Becca chose our crisp linen Sea Salt Crib Bedding including this soft gray baby blanket personalized with a monogram.

A beautiful heirloom oil painting on the nursery wall is of Becca’s grandmother.  Such a beautiful piece of art that has a special meaning.  Personal touches in the nursery can surround your loved one with the comfort they crave.

The green olive branch wallpaper from Magnolia Home is playful and perfect for a unisex baby’s room.  Soft shades of green paired with gray is a dreamy palette for creating a relaxing vibe.

Beaux sleeps soundly on our White Cotton Crib Sheet made of fine weave and superior thread count cotton. This crib sheet is as soft and smooth as you can get. (Our crib sheet fabric is Oeko-tex certified, which means it’s woven from the purest materials and is free from harmful chemicals).

Organic Gender Neutral Nursery

I wanted a gender neutral nursery for our baby boy who is going to share this room with his older brother! That’s why the table with two chairs is a must have. I loved the calmness of the neutral colors and the bohemian vibes. Very inspired with hyacinth, rattan and seagrass details! The Babyletto Crib is probably my favorite piece in the room, along with the neutral tone giraffe plush!
I wanted a seagrass changing basket but had a changing pad from our first son’s nursery. Here’s a trick! We purchased an underbed storage basket, placed the changing pad inside and voila! No need to purchase a new changing basket.

Clean + Neutral Nursery for Twin Girls

I was so excited to create a loving space for my twin girls as soon as I found out I was pregnant with twins. I opted for a neutral tone so the room has a bright and airy feel when you enter. We picked out the paint color first then chose the decal for the room. We found cribs that are white with wooden legs which I feel tied the whole lookentogether. We wanted a pop of color but still be neutral so we chose cinnamon color and have this pop through some items throughout the nursery.u favorite pieces are the two hanging frames. I wanted something personalized that isn’t necessarily the twins’ names. Since their first names came from plants, I decided to get the willow and ivy leaves custom made into the wall hanging for a personal touch. My most favorite oartnis the shelf area which was inspired by featured nurseries in projectnursery’s instagram page. It took me about 5 months to complete the nursery. There were a lot of items that were out of stock (due to COVID I assumed) that I didn’t have a choice but to just be patient. And it paid off because I absolutely think the nursery is the best room in our house.

Whimsical Scandinavian Nursery

Our son’s nursery is the most decorated and complete room in our home.  My intention was to create a modern, gender neutral, Scandinavian inspired space for sleep and play made complete with whimsical and functional bohemian elements. As a nod to my love for arts and crafts I made sure to incorporate some of my own finished pieces. We painted the room a subtle creamy beige and decorated with pale pops of colors. My focal point and inspiration for this nursery was the shiplap wall that my husband installed. After completing this wall the rest came together pretty quickly.
Advice for parents designing their first nursery:
-Avoid feeling confined by commonly identified themes. There should be no hard and fast rule when designing your own space. Instead, identify things you gravitate towards and use them to create your room’s “theme”.  It can be a family heirloom, a keepsake item, a palette, or type of furniture–whatever it may be–use it as inspiration for your design!
-Avoid waiting until late in the 3rd trimester to start building or setting up the first set of items your baby will be using.
-Don’t stress if you cannot complete the room before your baby arrives. You can always make changes and re-curate the room as your child’s needs change.
-Enjoy the design and decorating process. You’ll soon be occupied with baby, and will have little time for projects like this!
