Jane’s Tiny Wonderland Nursery

Jane’s nursery is her own little magical retreat inside our small NYC apartment. From the handpainted mural above the crib to the DIY butterfly mobile over the changing table to her special “Dear Jane” quilt, the room is full of things that family and friends made just for her, hoping to warm her heart and spark her imagination.  We tied all these handmade pieces together with a bright and pretty aqua-and-coral color scheme.

Addison’s Flower and Fairy Garden

Addison’s big girl room was designed by her Mom.  A sparkling flower garden was painted around her bed and I added a few whimsical fairies throughout the garden. The flowers and fairies are bejeweled with crystals and glitter paint. Her name was also hand-painted to match the room.  The quote on the wall is “Like glittering dust on fairy wings, little girl dreams are of magical things.”

Elegant Ballerina Room Any Girl Would Want!

This room was custom designed by Cheryl McConnell of Sweet Lullaby in Wyckoff, NJ.  Bedding and window treatments flow with beautiful ruffles, sparkling beads and luxerious bows!! The furniture was custom ordered and the muralist just sealed the deal with stunning silhouettes of ballerinas.
Murals were painted by Murals and more by Patrice.  Bejeweled with Swarvoski crystals, pearls and rhinestones.

Our sweet little customer wanted a ballerina room done with elegance that she can grow with!

Oliver’s Perfect Nursery

We put more time and thought into this nursery than I thought possible! After a two and a half year journey ending in fertility treatments, I think I was so overjoyed to finally be pregnant that I felt like every detail had to be perfect! And it is!! :) With the artistic talents of my husband’s mom and grandma, we were even lucky enough to get a custom mural and some excellent design advice on the way, too!

Baby Girl’s Simple, Neutral Nursery

We wanted to create a nursery with clean, simple lines. The furniture in the rest of our home is dark brown/espresso, and we wanted the nursery to match. We also wanted a room that our daughter can grow into, so we didn’t want it to be too babyish. And although we’re having a girl, we didn’t want to saturate her room with pink. Our baby will be born in the Year of the Dragon, which inspired the custom print.

A Peachy Pink DIY Nursery and a Sweet Little Mural

The look I was going for is sweet and eclectic. I wanted to steer away from a theme and include all things happy. It was a fun family project; my mom made the dust ruffle, my dad converted the door into a dutch door and crafted a custom storage bench/sleeper, Hubby painted the peachy pink walls and hung all the pretties, and I painted the mural, made the mobile and the hair accessory frame.
