Sunny Joy

Ive always loved piecing together room designs with found items that don’t necessarily match perfectly! (This also helps stay on budget! 😉) I knew I wanted the room to feel warm, bright, cozy, and fresh while incorporating a mid century modern vibe that she could continue to grow into!
At the time I designed my daughter’s nursery, there were several Word Markets closing and you bet I took advantage of their liquidation sales! I found a pendant light that quickly became the center of my vision for the room as well as the perfect comfy and neutral swivel chair! The Anthropologie curtains were another favorite find!
I purchased the crib online and found the dresser on marketplace which, with a little elbow grease, a new top which I converted to a diaper bin, and some fresh hardware, became one of my favorite functional pieces in the room!
I found a few images from Pinterest including one image from a Society6 artist which inspired my mural.
And I designed a banner on which I hand painted her name with a pampas grass wreath for a personal touch.

Winnie the Pooh Nursery

We decided to make the baby’s sex a surprise. So we needed something neutral. Winnie the Pooh came to us and we took it from there! We picked the colors for the background from  Disney’s color set. We used Bibiddi Bobbiddi Blue and Tinker Bell Green. After the background was painted we hand sketched the characters and painted them in a few coats. We used an acrylic paint(s) to color the characters. The furniture is made by Simmons and was bought from Clossics in Delaware Our window treatments  were custom made by a friend of ours. The fabrics were imported from Hawaii. They are made specifically from room darkening. It took us about 2 weeks. We are so anxious for the little one to get here!!
