Vintage Kids Halloween Party

Cats, Bats & Ghosts, oh my! I knew I wanted it a little bit vintage-y. And was going for black cats and ghosts and bats. I had an idea for a DIY chandelier to hang above the kids table. I covered a hula hoop with white streamer paper and taped strands of tissue fringe in different lengths to give it a whimsey feel. You can get tissue fringe at Michaels in a variety of colors. I hand cut bats from card stock and taped them on. Quick and easy! The snack table had PB & J “Spider” sandwiches, Ghost Peeps cupcakes, Bat Push Pops and Popcorn bags we crafted with gold cats.

Spooktacular Halloween Craft Bash

Holidays are the best. Any chance to get the kids together and craft and decorate, count me in! Add costumes and some sugar and you’ve got yourself a fun party. This year for Halloween, we invited friends over to decorate pumpkins and masks and feasted on some treats and chili on the perfect, cool, Fall night. The kids loved the crafting time and all went home with some goodies. I love making holiday memories and get so excited when I see the kids having a good time. Plus they were just too cute in all of their costumes. Hope this inspires you to do a craft with your kiddo and make something special! Happy Halloween!

Boo-tiful Halloween Ball

We celebrated Halloween with a Boo-tiful Ball ghouls night out that was both fun and fab-boo-lous! Our space was decorated in a lavender, gray, black and white color palette, and the girly ghost printables designed by Jen T by Design were the perfect ghoulish touch. Our backdrop was adorned with a boo-tiful balloon arch, and mylar “boo” balloons received a make-over with a little bit of lavender spray paint; splatter paint helped transform them even further. Our chairs received a facelift with DIY ghost chair covers, which were created from white felt, and adorned with purple bows – they had to be girly after all!
The little ghouls arrived in their costumes, then after a quick pizza dinner, set about crafting the night away. They painted a wooden pumpkin from Oriental Trading, then decorated a glittery mask. Once they were finished with their crafts, they had their nails polished and received a glittery up-do. We danced to the Monster Mash and Thriller until we couldn’t dance anymore, then all the ghouls strutted their stuff down the runway in our Sugar and Spice fashion show. We rounded out the night with a (not so) scary movie with popcorn balls. Before the ghouls left for the evening, they visited our trick or treat station and filled their bags with both candy and non-candy treats. They especially loved the spider rings and hair ties from Plum Polka Dot!

We had such a ball with all the boo-tiful ghouls and can’t wait to celebrate with them again this year!

Halloween Costume Hayride Party

This Halloween Costume Hayride Party has it all from the décor, the costumes, and the spooky fun treats!
The Halloween party kicked off at The Hunter Farm with picking pumpkins and taking a costume hayride! The kids loved being silly and picking out their favorite pumpkin to decorate. We even found a cute baby elephant in the pumpkin patch!
After running around the pumpkin patch the kids were ready for some fresh apple cider and spooky treats which included witches broom sticks (Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and pretzel sticks) hat cookies, monster candy apples, cotton candy cobwebs, graveyard cake with gummy worms, skeleton bones (yogurt covered pretzels) and terrifying tortilla chips in shapes of ghosts, pumpkins, and bats.
The best part was watching the kids fill up their plates and be surprised by the animated witch kicking legs in the caldron!
Everyone filled up a treat bag with personalized stickers from the hosts, Sofia and Charlotte, with candy and a Halloween Peez dispenser.
DIY’s included: Backdrop, Monster Candy Apples, Witches broom sticks, witch hat cookies, and spooky eye balls

Treat or Treat Halloween Party

I love Halloween and I love to throw parties for kids. Every year, I plan a party for my little monster and her friends. The kids played games, painted their own ceramic pumpkin banks to take home and of course, ate way too many treats! The color palette I chose for the party was traditional orange and black but I added a little pop of mint green to the mix. The kids and parents had a blast at the party and we can’t wait for Halloween!

Halloween Boo in the Boonies

We had so much fun putting this one together. Our Boo in the Boonies was a big hit with the toddler crowd and the parents too! There were so many treats to pick from – pumpkin cake with salted caramel buttercream, sugar cookies, cupcakes, Nutella s’mores, apples with caramel dip, pumpkin merengues, popcorn ghosts, and lots and lots of candy! And to keep the little ones busy burning off all of that sugar, we had a pumpkin craft for them to make and they got to take home their very own decorated mini pumpkins. They also got to dance around surrounded by bubbles from the bubble machine.
