It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

For our son’s first birthday, which is in October, I wanted a Halloween theme, but also something cute, not creepy. So I picked “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”. The main colors are yellow and black chevron and white and orange polka dots. Pumpkins were everywhere! Pumpkin balloons, pumpkin beach balls, pumpkin decorating! Pumpkin coffee, cupcakes and candy too!

Halloween Boo in the Boonies

We had so much fun putting this one together. Our Boo in the Boonies was a big hit with the toddler crowd and the parents too! There were so many treats to pick from – pumpkin cake with salted caramel buttercream, sugar cookies, cupcakes, Nutella s’mores, apples with caramel dip, pumpkin merengues, popcorn ghosts, and lots and lots of candy! And to keep the little ones busy burning off all of that sugar, we had a pumpkin craft for them to make and they got to take home their very own decorated mini pumpkins. They also got to dance around surrounded by bubbles from the bubble machine.

Max’s Wickedly Wizard Party

I styled this table for a little boy’s 7th birthday.  I incorporated hues of black, dark blues,  grays, and yellow to give the dessert table a vintage and haunted feel.  Going with the haunted and spooky vibe, creepy elements like owls, spiders, rats, cauldrons, and test tubes were used for the table decor and favors. Wizardly treats included items like wizard’s teeth, magical wands, cauldron cakes, and candy corn push-pops.  The real star of this wickedly sweet table was “Max’s Book of Spells” cake. We loved the little mouse and owl!  This table made a little boy very happy!  I hope all the elements of Max’s party inspires you to host a fun Harry Potter screening,  Dress-Up, or Halloween party!

A Spooky Halloween Craft Party!

My son ADORES Halloween, so I thought a fun idea would be to throw a party for him and his best friends around the holiday. They are in kindergarten and love crafting, so I wanted to integrate fun projects into the day. They had an amazing time with orange-themed lunch foods as well, and were able to celebrate this fun holiday before the “trick-or-treating” began! :)
