Lavender Gloss
We wanted a fresh take on a traditional nursery. We liked the idea of the lavender color scheme and the traditional vertical stripes.

This is our daughter, Camden’s, nursery. It used to be my stepson and my younger brother’s room when they came to visit — two twin beds, a large TV, Playstation 3, with blue and yellow fabrics and wall coverings, even snowboard and dirtbike Fathead wall decals at one point. We originally planned on transforming it into the nursery for our twin daughters, Aubrey & Finley, but due to complications, we lost them at 20 weeks of pregnancy, and had to reassemble the room into the boys’ room, storing all the items we had originally purchased for the girls. A few months after we lost the girls, we found out we were pregnant with another little girl. Naturally, we eventually moved the boys’ furniture again into another spare bedroom and began this labor of love for our sweet girl, Camden.
My goal was to create a soft and sweet nursery that still maintained a level of sophistication that matched the rest of the house. I had a general idea in my head, but it came together over several months and I can’t wait to bring our new son home to his room.
