Baby Landry’s Modern Safari Nursery
A modern safari themed nursery for a stylish baby boy. We wanted to design something fun yet calming for both baby and mommy.

I wanted a modern, gender-neutral room without your typical “boy” theme. Koen is almost two now and I finally got around to posting these photos! A few of the photos were taken before I had all the elements to the room, but you get the idea. :)
When we found out we were having our second baby I knew I wanted to do something fun in her nursery but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I wanted something original, pretty, relaxing and budget friendly.
We kept the crib that belonged to our older daughter and I painted it a pretty shade of teal. A neighbor was getting rid of a changing table and offered to give it to me for free! I paint furniture for a living and I knew a couple coats of paint could make this old furniture pretty. I mixed a custom shade of yellow and painted the changing table and side table to match. I originally wanted to paint the crib teal and the changing table coral but the coral paint wasn’t covering like I wanted. I had to improvise and go with another color which turned out to be a custom shade of yellow. It wasn’t my original vision but I love how it turned out.
I made the paper garland’s and faux embroidery hoops from supplies I had on hand. The hoops are made with diaper boxes, scrapbook paper, hot glue and ribbon. I also wanted a one of a kind crib skirt. I have no clue how to sew so I found tutorials online and made a no-sew crib skirt.
I think everything came together beautifully and it was all done without breaking the bank.
This nursery is for my son Levi and it was so much fun to plan and decorate this special room for him!
Gender neutral nursery with different patterns and textures.
A modern, bright, clean and functional nursery that needs to occasionally double as a guest room.
A clean, neutral nursery for baby Nolan.
The nursery I designed on a budget with mostly garage sale purchases
I’d just like not to use pink colors, even for a baby girl. I felt in love with the color i choose because of the calm it still inspires me. I decided to do everything by my hands for my baby, so every drawing is made by me and by my pregnant belly !!!You can see how was the room before in the first picture ….
We wanted a modern/traditional nursery that would grow with our first baby. We mixed patterns and colors for a child friendly room that can be soothing and playful at the same time.
We wanted a modern and fun nursery for our little guy- something that could grow with him. So we picked colors instead of a theme, found the gear crib bedding and fell in love, and had so much fun selecting pieces from there!
This is our first baby boy and I did not want to just go to a store and pick out a package nursery set and put it up- I wanted to hand pick and make many of the items ourselves.
Every now and then, we get to work on a project that is truly special. A few months ago, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting J.R. Martinez (Iraq war veteran and champion of “Dancing with the Stars”) and Diana Gonzalez-Jones, then pregnant with their first child, Lauryn Anabelle, nicknamed Belle. Instantly, we knew they would be amazing clients. Their story is one of inspiration, courage and hope, and it was our job to translate these sentiments into the nursery.
We started this large room from scratch and wanted it to be just perfect for our little one! We took our time, finding pieces and decor that meant something to us (with our tight budget in mind). There are still some blank walls and floor space that we’ll fill as Baby T. shows us his/her personality. For now, we hope Baby T. loves it as much as Mommy and Daddy do!
This is Claire’s nursery! I didn’t know what I was having so the room started as gray, and the pink came afterwards.
I wanted a calm and pretty nursery for my daughter that was girly without screaming PINK!
We made Avett’s room a yellow and gray vintage train room.
