Sweet as a Peach Nursery

With baby girl being born in Georgia, we wanted to create a “Sweet as a Peach” theme that was soft but not too girly.  We thought a bright peach was the perfect color to complete the job!  We also incorporated a customized, one of a kind accent wall with a wonder woman-like “M” design. Don’t shy away from using bold colors that can bring your room to life!

Boho Desert Nursery

As soon as I started thinking about my nursery, I knew that I’d want a natural, warm & earthy colour palette (which has to include some of my favourite colour, Mustard!) in a modern boho style, with a hint of a desert theme. We found out we were having another baby girl, so I wanted to incorporate a hint of dusty rose colour through the room also. I love the softness of rainbow/arch shapes, so you’ll see I’ve incorporated hints of this shape throughout. I also knew I needed to include special pieces from one of my favourite brands, Boho Baby Heaven; a very small family business, run by a mother-daughter duo based in Hungary. Mariann & Inez specialize in bohemian style home/nursery decor & toys, all made completely by hand. I shared my ideas about the theme of the nursery them, and I knew they would create the perfect pieces to suit. They exceeded my expectations. These pieces are all so special to me, they evoke such joy & have tied together my nursery space so perfectly. Inez did a guest blog post previously featuring the creative & design process of these pieces. I’ve tried to keep a repetition of elements throughout this room; using light wood & natural elements such as rattan & cane, with the warm earthy colours, and pops of mustard & dusty rose. Before Maisie arrived, I would spent quiet moments in here sitting in the papasan chair whilst sipping on a tea. The golden afternoon sun diffusing softly through the curtains; to me, the room feels warm, happy & completely calm. It’s my little nursery oasis! Our two cats seem to agree as I catch them both sleeping happily in here every day.

SomeBunny Loves You Nursery

I had so much fun designing this Mid-Century #boho bunny nursery for our baby girl – coming Fall 2021!
Ever since I was a little girl decorating has been my passion. I never actually played with Barbie’s- I designed their living spaces and would create Barbie condos inside our living room bookshelves. When we found out we were having a baby GIRL my creative juices started flowing – THE NURSERY. My pregnancy has had may challenges and her nursery became my happy place and the best distraction ever. I am so grateful.
Wall Color: Etiquette AF-50 | Benjamin Moore
I wanted our daughter to be surrounded by style, beauty and a touch of charm. I was going for a Mid-Century Modern meets #boho chic vibe. I was on the prowl for wooden, antique brass, macramé and vintage accents. We were fortunate enough to receive that gorgeous #MCM 8-drawer (maple?) dresser, passed down by my husband’s grandparents- which became the focal point of her nursery. I changed out the dresser knobs with a glam white marble/brushed brass style pull. Continuing the Mid-Century mood, we incorporated a white wooden crib with slanted legs and a gold tripod floor lamp in the corner of the room. I was obsessed with West Elm’s velvet curtains, but couldn’t swallow the price, so I found plush faux velvet drapes in Ballet Pink from Amazon for around $45. The bracket shelves were a steal from Ikea and so much fun to style… I found random accessories from TJ Maxx and Target’s dollar spot! The floating shelves above the changing dresser display simple, dainty pictures, candles and a rainbow abacus. I wanted a #Rattan piece displayed above the changing dresser and found this 9″ Rattan mirror from Ikea for only $29.99! The area rug was on sale from Bed, Bath & Beyond in a neutral geometric pattern! I found the cutest mini #Rattan mirrors from a local shop in town called Mis Plantitas. The accordion hook rack was like $6 from Amazon and made for the perfect headband holder. The light grey glider was actually from my son’s nursery and ordered from Wal-Mart (great quality and price) – see his nursery gallery “It’s a Wild World” for the glider link. The side-by side bunny photos are from Amazon – I believe the brand is Kate & Laurel… they are canvases framed in natural wood. Last, but not least- the nesting tables… they were a steal from HomeGoods, tying together the brass accents around the room, like the curtain rod, dresser drawer knobs and closet door handles. For anyone looking to create a darling nursery on a budget- you can do it! It is possible. We found everything from Amazon, Ikea, TJ Maxx, Target, Target’s dollar spot and Bed, Bath & Beyond. My motto is- it’s not what it costs, it’s how you style it. *BIG shoutout to my Uncle Chris for hanging everything for us! Also, our friend Phil for painting her room! Much appreciated!

A Simple and Fresh, White Nursery

We wanted to keep the colors of Amelia’s room crisp and clean, not too overwhelming, so that it could evolve with new ideas and decor over time as she grows. The walls are pure white and really brighten up her room when the sun hits the walls. Our favorite piece is her rug and the pop of color it brings to the room. We captured our inspiration from many of the different nurseries that we saw on Project Nursery. My biggest tip is to pick pieces that your baby can grow with and also make sure the room is super cozy!

Jovie Grace’s Bohemian Floral Nursery

I chose this project because this is our first little girl (after four boys), and I wanted her to have a sweet escape from all things masculine. I was inspired through my own style, and decided to incorporate it in her nursery. We recently moved last fall into an older home, and room by room I’m turning the space into our own. This space was by far my favorite with the bohemian vibes. Ironically I’m not crazy about the thought of a lot of pink, so incorporated a couple things to bring a feminine aspect and then added mustard yellow, gold, and natural wood accents to bring some other color to the room. I started with a green accent wall, and it was not what I envisioned, so my poor husband had to paint it again. The white walls really help focus on the natural woods and other tones in the room. I wanted simple, but with detail and I am so pleased with how it turned out!

Whimsical Floral Nursery

We live in a 90 year old bungalow in Seattle, WA.  When it came time to design the nursery, I wanted to have some vintage charge to compliment the charerstics of our home like the orignal crown molding and glass door knobs which is why I love the crib so much. It has an antique feel without actually being an old crib. ;) My favorite feature of the room is definitely the wallpaper. It adds a fun pop of color and was so easy to install. With our home being so old, I was worried the walls wouldn’t be level and too textured but this removable wallpaper took about an hour to complete. Since the room is pretty small, the Ikea shelves were a great way to display books without taking up much room. There are a few DIY features of the room including the curtains which were purchased from Target and then my mom and I added a pom trim. We also made the side table by sanding a tree stump our friend gave us. I’m so happy with how the room came out. Our little one loves staring at her wallpaper as we rock her!

A Pink & Gold Nursery for Baby Everly!

This sweet nursery was designed by Nicole Blattner for her baby girl, Everly.  We can’t seem to decide on our favorite part of the room, but the gold name plaque and assorted wall flowers are stunning, and are a perfect focal point for the nursery.  Featured on the simple white crib is our Pink & Gold Baby Bedding Collection, a popular crib set for a baby girl’s nursery.  The gold polka dot crib sheet and 3 layered crib skirt gives the nursery bedding a feminine feel.  The white crib rail cover is accented with pink ruffle, gold ties, and monogrammed with Everly’s initials.  Because the front crib rail is wider than most, we customized the rail cover to fit by making it slightly wider.  The sweet corner shelves are perfect for mementos and keepsakes.  We made the custom pink and gold curtains to Nicole’s specifications with gold polka dot panels trimmed with layers of pink ruffles.
