I wanted a clean and simple space with lots of natural light. I also wanted lots of colors and textures without having “characters” or a “theme” to his nursery. I started with gray and white and added in golden yellow and a little blue. I didn’t mean for it to but his nursery actually turned out very gender neutral.
I didn’t want a real “themy” nursery and wanted something that would be able to grow with our first baby. I loved the idea of super bright, almost rainbow colors with a neutral base to complement them. The wealth of resources on Pinterest made it fun to put the room together, and we actually ended up spending half of what we budgeted for.
We wanted to create a gender neutral nursery with a Bumblee Bee theme since the mom-to-be is in Horticulture. The room had to be multi-functional as space is always a concern in NYC. The room doubles as an office, guest room, and nursery.
Grey and yellow nursery, cozy and inviting. Elephants started to become a little bit of a theme after I found grey and yellow elephant artwork.
