Addison’s big girl room was designed by her Mom. A sparkling flower garden was painted around her bed and I added a few whimsical fairies throughout the garden. The flowers and fairies are bejeweled with crystals and glitter paint. Her name was also hand-painted to match the room. The quote on the wall is “Like glittering dust on fairy wings, little girl dreams are of magical things.”
To celebrate my little girl’s 6th birthday, I created this sweet and enchanting fairy garden tea party for her and eleven of her closest little fairy friends. They had a ball prancing around in their adorable tutus, fairy wings and floral halos.
Three year old Avery was diagnosed with an inoperable cancerous brain tumor at age two. Her wish through Make a Wish Foundation was to receive a Fairy Garden Playroom for her sister, Maddy and herself. Avery has gone through so very much in her young life and is such a strong, brave little girl. When Make a Wish coordinator, Jenny Hauser contacted me to design this very special girl’s playroom for Avery, we jumped on it. My assistant, Lisa O’Brien and I worked for months meticulously planning the space which included a life-like tree, a custom designed reading nook that we now refer to as the “Fairy Fountain”, a dress up corner, play house, tea table complete with tea set, an art station (not seen in the images, as it was back ordered) and a spot for movie viewing. We solicited the hugely talented Patrice Hoban to paint our fairy mural and she really knocked our socks off with the details! She added glitter and gems and the room really came to life with her vision! We thank Cheryl of Sweet Lullaby for designing and donating the sweet curtains and valances, Chris Jones for designing the Fairy Fountain reading perch, Levels of Discovery for their donation of the tea table and toybox, New Arrivals, Inc for donating the peg hook, and Creative Carpet Design for donating the cute-as -a-button monogrammed rug. Avery and her family have a long road ahead of them. They will continue treatments at St. Jude Children’s Hospital (to whom Jack and Jill Interiors has donated monthly for about 7 years now) and we will continue to love and pray for this wonderful and inspiring family. This whimsical Sweet Station was designed for a little girls birthday party. The guests filled their custom favor boxes with international sweets, butterfly topped Sweet Skewers and mini desserts. They enjoyed face painting and getting their fortune told by the great Fairy Goblinfly.
This is my baby’s nursery. :D We wanted to go with a cartoony,FUN, fairy garden theme. All painting was done by my Husband and myself. ( Mostly me! ) It may be a little amateurish but it was so much fun,fit very well in budget, and we are so proud!
A Garden Fairy 1st Birthday for my daughter, Carleigh. The planning began 3 months before the big day. I truly wanted this to be a magical experience for both of us!!!
Gracie is finally turning 1! For her first birthday I wanted to steer away from the usually cartoon inspried birthdays and instead do something a little more unexpected. Thats why on Jan.29 everyone will be joining us to celebrate her birthday at her Enchanted Garden.
