Lucy & Layla’s Lavender & Grey Nursery
There are quite a bit of diy elements to this lavender & grey nursery, but basically I just wanted something calm & adorable.

A vintage circus nursery for our sweet baby boy! While the nursery is mostly gender neutral, I brought more blues, greens, and greys into the decor. The vintage circus decor brings some color, fun, and character to the room. All of the different patterns are eye-catching as well. I smile every time I’m in that unique and beautiful room!
When I found out that we were having a baby girl, I was super excited, and knew just what I wanted her nursery to look like! I had a vision of a nursery done in shades of pinks with gray and accented with cute elephants. I wanted it to be a mix of traditional, feminine, and modern. Her completed nursery is just what I had envisioned! Perfect for my darling Clementine!
A simple but sweet DIY baby girl’s nursery.
Creating a nursery for twin’s was a blast! Since we waited for the gender’s to be a surprise I stuck with neutral grey and added pops of yellow. I knew after the babies arrived it would be easy to incorporate pale blues or pinks.
I wanted the room to be pretty, but playful. I knew I would be spending lots of time in the nursery, so I wanted it to be a room I would enjoy – it quickly became my favorite room in the house! There is a lot of lavender in nursery decor, but very little purple! When I found the purple sheets with the white elephants from Land of Nod I quickly grabbed them. Then the elephant theme came to life. My father-in-law and my husband painted the green stripes, which I knew I wanted from the very beginning. I found the purple ruffle curtains and various purple, green and elephant items along the way. But even with all the fun items I compiled for the room, something was needed to pull it all together. That’s where Grandma came in with the gift of a custom made quilt, which incorporated both the purples and greens and completed the nursery.
We didn’t know if we were having a boy or girl until the baby came so the paint, furniture and bedding were purchased to work for either a boy or girl.
I love neutrals and thought calming gray walls were a great place to start. We slowly added all the colorful accents and the room came together in a really great way. The changing pad and bed skirt still need to be completed, but I am really proud of our nursery that is almost complete!
You dont have to spend a fortune to have a cute shower! Everything was diy, the goody bags, magnets, champagne glasses and even the cake!
The coral and gray make the room feel modern. The white furniture is very classic. The personal touches add whimsy.
We took this 1/2 story attic space from 1950s/1960s wood paneling to a modern nursery for our baby boy.
A gender neutral nursery with international flair.
This is a Pinterest nursery if there ever was one! I took several different ideas that I loved and combined them to create a fun, girly circus theme for our new baby girl, Evia. In the last month of my pregnancy, I was nesting like a mad woman! I ended up making or altering the majority of things in the nursery. To be truthful, it’s now my favorite room in the house…I’m wondering why I haven’t put this much work into the rest of the rooms!
This project is about an elephant themed nursery room. A beautiful handmade nursery mobile with two wall decorations and two stuffed animals will absolutely add some color to your nursery!
We redecorated a spare bedroom and transformed it into a Nursery. The room was previously used by young family members whenever they came to visit. They painted, drew, wrote and scribbled on all the walls. Using them as their own personal canvases to express their artistic personalities. With our permission, of course. Once we found out we were pregnant we begun to brainstorm ideas and scoured the Internet for inspiration. The video linked below highlights the transformation from a crayon crime scene into the infants private playground its become. The before and after.

I wanted to mix pieces from different eclectic collections to form her nursery. The animal heads are very nontraditional but I encrusted them in Swarvoski crystal to girly it up.
I knew that I wanted a theme of some sort for the nursery but really had no idea until I came upon the bedding set while searching online. I immdiately fell in love with the zoo animals and had to have it. Giraffes, Monkeys and Elephants are the main focus of the room with lots of color. To create a relaxing and welcoming space for our little one that reflected a life of traveling and discovery (those from the past and those to come). I wanted to incorporate objects from around the world as well as books from my childhood (in Spanish) and accents from Brussels (my husband’s home town). As we often have family/friends visiting from overseas it was a must to have a daybed! We love the one we found and the six large storage baskets underneath will surely come handy for toys, linens and diapers.
We worked on a budget and DIY most of the elements, the room that we started with did not have lights besides a very small one right next to the entry door, so my husband and father-in-law worked on adding can lights, book shelves and closet. I was in charge of the smaller projects being my first ones the elephant lamp along with the “K” light. The most meaningful project has to be the bathroom door, I painted a section of North America and South America and added hearts to where Santiago, Chile and California, USA are so we can show our little baby Peanut where Mom and Dad are from =]
The very last project I worked on for the room was the cardboard name sign on top of the crib, since we didn’t know the sex of our Baby, I waited until after delivery, I had already set a side a big box that I was planning on using, but that same week I had planned to start with the sign my Cousin send us the tall giraffe, so I used that box instead, which allowed me to make the sign a lot bigger than my initial plan.
