Farida’s Peach and Mint Nursery

I’m an interior designer so naturally I started designing my baby’s nursery ever since I found out I was pregnant, I was researching ideas all day and trying to track down items that I had seen online and liked. The thing that took the majority of time and effort was the mural decal wall. It was labour intensive and I had to work on it with my two sisters and their friend (they did all the work really).
The room was “done” in loose terms when Farida arrived in all her glory and all of the little items, photos, frames, etc were all added in very recently right before her 1st birthday and the room is finally picture worthy, at least to me and I’d love to share it with you

Immersion in Nature

Birds, hatching, nesting… I have long yearned for this little one! In my research, I study how the environment affects babies (and all ages), and thus have been planning this nursery for the last 10 years. It is exciting to finally make it a reality! We want baby Rem to cultivate a relationship with nature and grow in a serene and peaceful setting. My dad (Thomas) and I had so much fun building the DIY pieces.

Baby Ella’s Gender Neutral Bird Themed Nursery

I wanted a nursery for our baby girl that would be largely gender neutral. Neither my husband nor I care for pink very much, and we figured as long as she doesn’t care, and we’ll be the ones spending a ton of time in the room looking around, it might as well look how we want it to!  She’ll be into pink soon enough, despite our best efforts, we’re told! In the meantime, no girlie-girls here!

Colorful Owl Nursery

This is a second, more colorful take on Landon’s original nursery ( http://projectnursery.com/projects/baby-landons-owl-nursery/ ).  We spent his first year sharing a room at my parent’s house, and when he turned one we moved into a place of our own!  I kept most of the same things but changed and added a few things.
In the original nursery I really wanted to use a bright, fun paint color for the walls but it didn’t really work with the decal I chose.  So in the new nursery I made sure to chose the paint color first and the wall decal second.
Basically, it is his original nursery perfected :)
(I also included pictures of his bathroom decor since it’s connected to his room and it goes with the theme.)
