Aria’s Nursery

I designed this nursery for my younger sister. She is having her first baby in August and I offered to design and install her nursery as a gift for her. Her requests were simple: she wanted something beautiful, classy, that inspired peace, and with no too much pink! I found loads of inspiration on Project Nursery Instagram page. I would describe this nursery style as Boho Chic. I hope you can feel inspired by it. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

Oh Joy Inspired Nursery

My oldest daughter’s room is very neutral, with lots of white, beige and gold accents (photos below) – colors I naturally gravitate toward when decorating. When deciding on a theme and color scheme for our second daughter’s nursery, I knew a few things – I wanted to do something bright, in contrast of Isla’s neutral space, and I did not want to have a typical nursery nursery. I was wandering through Target a few months ago and I saw a brightly color Oh Joy pillow and knew immediately I’d found the inspiration for the room. I loved the pairing of the bright yellow, turquoise, blush pink and neon coral and thought I could have some fun designing a room around those colors.

Gianna’s Pink and Gray Elephant Nursery Reveal

When I found out I was having my second girl, I was stumped on everything. Name, shower, gadgets, and most of all….the nursery. I felt like I had JUST been through it all (just a few months ago!!!) and had picked the most perfect of all options, so how was I to possibly choose?? But as the months went by, I found a theme I loved and ran with it. I absolutely adore how this nursery turned out. Soft, modern, clean, and feminine. I learned a lot from my first (like…don’t skimp on the glider — do you have any idea how many hours you’ll be spending in it????), so I was able to create a space I know is lovely but also very, very functional.
