It’s Almost Time Clock Shower

This baby shower was thrown for me by my closest friends and my sister.  We didn’t find out the gender of our baby, so they used “It’s Almost Time” for the theme since it was almost time for the baby to be born and the gender would finally be revealed.  My mom is a wedding planner, and they used her “Sweet Shoppe” stand for an awesome candy stand/dessert table.  Everyone was able to take a bag of yummy sweets home.  My friend Amanda made the adorable cake, and her friend made the clock cookie favors.

Teddy’s Transitional/ Whimsical Nursery

Teddy’s nursery took about 7 months to complete, which is unheard of for me, as I make decisions on the fly and want things done yesterday.  Because we ordered a brand new line of furniture, there were some delays in getting it (on the manufacturer’s end)– add that to the several months that it took for me to decide what to do with his wall letters, and you arrive at the 7 month completion date for this nursery.  In spite of how long it took, we are really happy with the result.

Bright and Comfy Nursery on a Teeny Tiny Budget

Ok, so this nursery probably won’t be gracing the covers of any baby magazines, but I was really happy with how it turned out. I wanted to create a bright and cheerful, but gender neutral nursery for our third baby, and without spending a lot. I was motivated to post this to show that with some creativity and resourcefulness, you can create a nice looking, cohesive nursery without spending a fortune. My total cost – including furniture, bedding and decor – less that $250!!
