Nia’s First Birthday!!
A small and happy pink and gray nursery for my first child.
This shower is meant to be simple and classic with lots of pink.
When my husband said “western” nursery for our baby girl, he pictured barbed wired and red bandanas….this is what I pictured…
I’ve always prided myself in my fabulous closet! However, after finding out that I was expecting my first child, I began the process of converting my closet to my new nursery! This is the journey of designing my fabulous nursery!
There’s still soooo much to do. Be sure & check back weekly for updates!

Cinnamon
A nursery inspired by the times of the renaissance in Italy.
After having three boys I was BEYOND excited to design a nursery for my little girl, but I still didn’t want to go over the top frou frou. The rest of our house is a nice mix of modern and classic so I wanted to make sure the room would flow while at the same time providing Annabel (and me!) with one place that was undeniably feminine. What started out as a purely modern project morphed slightly into a mix between mid-century modern and 60’s Boudoir style, and I absolutely love the way it turned out.
A traditional, peaceful nursery for our first baby boy.
A girly room without too much pink
Crafty bedroom with gray and pink and a dash of green.Putting together Penelope’s nursery was one of the most fun things I’ve done. I can’t say that my husband would agree as he had tons of IKEA furniture to put together. I have to say that her room is my favorite in the house. It’s the nicest and the one that’s most well put together.
This is my daughter’s nursery. The goal of the space was to have a sophisticated feminine feeling. The nursery is on the main living level of our home so the design was intended to flow with the rest of our living space. The hallway outside the room is turquoise so this almost glowing pink/peach color for the walls looks beautiful from the hallway. In summary, I invested in good quality pieces which would last her for years.
This is our first baby’s room. We don’t know the sex so it had to be gender neutral, but I didn’t want to use traditional “gender neutral” colours. I also wanted it to be fun and not too “baby”, while including items from my and my husband’s childhoods.
I put together a “Rock a Bye Baby” shower for my bestie. It’s her 3rd and final child, so I wanted this to be extra special.
We wanted to create a nursery that was modern, but classic. Playful, but soothing. Sweet for a baby, but fun for a little boy. We decided to use blue and gray as the base colors, with pops of orange. We originally envisioned the nursery as having a woodland theme, but it ended up a little bit woodland and a little bit spunky.
‘She’s About to POP’ Baby Shower! Neutral-gender baby shower that’s chic and anything but cutesy.
My daughter Stella moved out of her nursery into her ‘big girl’ room with the arrival of her baby sister. While she is still in her crib, she sure thinks she is a big girl in this room, which gives her plenty of play space. I had a lot of fun designing this “bohemian chic” room which uses a light blue and hot pink color palette and lots of fun girly, prints. I tried to do it ‘on the cheap’ using Craigslist finds and DIY pieces.
