Let’s Talk About Sex….

Posted in Baby Nurseries, Furniture, Toddler Rooms by admin

Sex and the City the Movie that is! I love, love, loved it! I don’t care what any movie critic said, it was brilliant. The whole experience was serious fun. I couldn’t help notice that there were only two lone males in the whole audience (I’m guessing they were a couple) and the remaining 100+ women were dressed for a hot date with Mr. Biggs (it was a Tuesday night in windy SF so provided a bit of a chuckle). In hindsight, I did appreciated the efforts these women made to look Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda-esq in honor of the movie…

Anyway, besides all the fabulous fashion, I really enjoyed the set design. I thought Charlotte’s daughter Lily had a very fun and playful room. I loved the nod to Lily’s heritage with the hot pink Chinese lantern wallpaper. Too cute! Charlotte’s digs were always put together to Upper East Side perfection, so it was no doubt her adopted daughter’s room was just as fitting with bright colors and whimsical touches. Production designer Jeremy Conway was the man behind the movie’s set design. I especially loved the polka dot wing chair. Although, I couldn’t find the exact chair I did find some solid substitutions.
This pink chenille wing chair from Bella Cottage is a good combination of girly meets modern. Pottery Barn Kids has come out with an expanded line of upholstered gliders. They not only have pink polka dots but also green damask and black and white geometric patterns. This cute little denim wing chair is from A baby and was the closest I found to little Lily’s. It also can be ordered in different color and patterns including one called candy pink. I’m sure miss Charlotte would approve.

Happy Friday! Thought you could all use a boost by watching the KABOOST video! I think it’s funny, entertaining and from a marketing perspective - it certainly gets the point across. I was never one to lug around my portable highchair to begin with but this sure beats having your kid sit on their knees or in a dirty restaurant booster chair. The KABOOST snaps onto almost any chair in a matter of seconds, moves with the chair for safety, comes in three color options for good looks and is ideal for children ages 20 months to 6 years old. Just when your baby is no longer a baby but needs that extra boost to be like Mom and Dad, why not try the KABOOST at your table for just $29.99. Find the KABOOST at major retailers such as Target and Babies R’US. Oh, and if you don’t believe me since my little guys isn’t 20 months yet, make sure you read these testimonials for yourself!
