With the right wallpaper a nursery can have that complete, polished look that screams “professionally decorated.” Adding wallpaper to any room can feel like a big commitment but done tastefully, it can bring in drama and sophistication. I found some examples of that highly stylized look that works in today’s nursery.

We recently completed this glamorous baby girl’s nursery for a client in Los Angeles, California. Design Dilemma: We’re just moving into a new townhouse after living in a rented apartment. In the rental, we weren’t allowed to paint or hang window treatments, so I’m really looking forward to creating a baby space for my son Sam (9 months old) that I couldn’t create in the old place. With that said, we want this new baby room to be somewhat gender neutral so that it can be our next baby’s room — whatever the sex!
When it comes to setting trends in nursery design, Nurseryworks is often leading the pack. Their modern cribs, dressers and gliders can be seen in many designer nurseries around the globe. It was in Vegas at the ABC Kids Expo a few weeks ago that Melisa and I got to see this ultra cutting edge Lucite crib in person while visiting the Nurseryworks booth. I am a big fan of Lucite so I was very intrigued by both the crib and matching dresser. Maybe Melisa being so organized and Type A could make the clear dresser work in the nursery. After all, folding clothes is one of her favorite hobbies.
Innovation and luxury have collided and landed in the nursery.
