A Project For

My Son's First Birthday

Age

1 Year

Location

Phoenix, AZ

Description

My son turned one 10 days before Christmas, we wanted to play up the Christmas/winter theme with his first birthday party. We created a Winter ONEderland to help accomplish this idea.

Design Inspiration

My inspiration came from some printables I saw on The TomKat Studios site. I used the printables she created as the theme for this party.

Decorating Style

Fun and budget friendly. I like to create DIY details myself and splurge on a few fun things like a great cake!

All Party Printables, Baking Cups, Popcorn Bags & Straws: The TomKat Studio

Invitations: Designed by Me

Favor Boxes: Pick Your Plum

Cake: Cakes by Andrea

Favorite Items

My favorite party item was the CAKE! It was made by the same person who made our wedding cake. I've never had cake that good so whenever I can I love getting a cake from her. She makes the best cakes!

Advice

When I'm planning a party I always start with a theme and then make a list of things that I can do myself like decor items, invitations or whatever. And then I make a list of items that I need to buy and hire to do. I can not make a cake to save my life, they always turn out horrible so I hire those things out to some of my fave local bakers. I love giving them the business and helping their businesses.
