- A Project For: Brody Gage
- Age: 12 weeks
- Location: Holland Mi
This nursery was designed and decorated not knowing the gender of our baby. We used various shades of grey with splashes of bright yellow to make the room lively and inviting.
We did a lot of looking online at other nurseries. From those, we took our favorite features, meshed them together and it them our own.
I feel our decorating style can be summed up as modern, yet practical and comfortable. We wanted the room to have a clean look and feel, but still fun because after all, it is a baby's room.
- Project Details: Crib and dresser set - Essentials Collection from Baby Cache (via Babies R Us) Chair - La-Z-Boy Niagra Glider (pattern: handsome, color: steel) Paint - Behr Classic Silver, Behr Ultra Pure White and Dutch Boy Polished Gold (tutorial for perfect wall stripes) Carpet - Mohawk Smartstrand squall line (via Lowes) Baby Monitor - Graco True Focus Digital Video Monitor Mirror + picture frames - Meijer and Hobby Lobby Canvas totes, closet organizer + shelf - Menards Touchlamp - refurbished Bedding/linens - homemade with fabric from Hobby Lobby Changing pad cover - homemade (tutorial) Mobile - Handmade with metal rings from Hobby Lobby (paper starburst tutorial)
I love our bedding. We didn't want to go with the traditional pastel, cutesy prints that can be found in stores. The fact that my mom put a lot of time and love into these make them extra special.
