- A Project For: Serafina
- Age: due 2/27/12
- Location: Maryland
-
Description:
My goal was to transform my son's gender neutral Nursery into a more feminine space by giving the items we already owned a facelift.
-
Design Inspiration:
I love the turquoise and red color combination so I decided all white would make a good background for a few pops of color.
-
Decorating Style:
An eclectic mix.
-
Project Details:
We already owned the crib and Hemnes dresser from IKEA as well as the rocking chair. Almost everything I did including the ruffle crib skirt, artwork, & stenciled dresser were DIY projects. You can see more details on my blog here:

-
Favorite Items:
I love the shelves with hanging clothes storage and the stenciled dresser.
-
Advice:
Start with a base of white and neutrals (paint, furniture, flooring) Small pops of color will stand out so you don't need a lot.
