Description
Fun, bright, and colorful blue and white nursery with orange and green accents.
Design Inspiration
I was inspired by the colors of the room. At first, I had my eye on a set of green and white striped curtains (that were out of my price range) and knew that I wanted to find the most amazing shade of blue paint for the walls to be paired with the white furniture. I then added a few pops of orange to mix fun into the nursery.
I didn't want the room to have a "theme" so I just added fun and cheerful pieces that have meaning to our family. For example, my husband is a professional bass angler so I had fun involving his love of the sport into the nursery (the bass cardboard cutout)
Decorating Style
Colorful and classic.

Favorite Items
My mom and I spent our Labor Day Weekend designing and sewing the curtains, window bench seat cushions, and crib skirt. I LOVE how they turned out and the memory of us working together.
The "Wagon Wheel" print is also special to me because it was the first song I heard on the radio after finding out that we were expecting. I couldn't stop envisioning rocking my baby like a "wagon wheel" ;-)
I also love the reading corner chair as well as my rocking chair-- it is SO comfortable!
Advice
Try to have a clear vision for what you want in the nursery and keep your eyes open! I started shopping early on in the process, picking up pieces here and there. Keep your receipts in case something doesn't work out!
