Vintage/Mid-Century Room

Description

A whimsical vintage room with mid century accents!

Design Inspiration

The framed meadow fabric which I found at a thrift store.  I loved the peaceful yet adventurous feeling it gave me.  I got the fabric before I knew I was pregnant and knew either with a boy or girl I would try to use it.

Decorating Style

Clean vintage, modern vintage, mid century.

Project Details

This room was very cheap!  A lot of thrift store and craigslist finds.  The details in a room can make the biggest difference!

Favorite Items

I love the butterfly mobile that I made from a photo clip and butterflies from a craft store.   Also the framed fabric with hanging pictures.

Advice

Start with one piece (either fabric, picture, etc) to guide you in your inspiration.  It helps direct your decisions on what to buy and not buy.

@rachnichols3:  Oh my.  If you ever get tired of that gumball machine, throw it my way then :)

BuenaMano-

The gumball machine I have had for years.  I think my Mom got it at either a yard sale or antique store.  You are right...I never see them at thrift stores.  Maybe a few times at an antique mall.

Lilmismegs-

I wish I could tell you the color but I bought the frame already painted that color green from a Seattle farmer's market:(
