Vintage “Glamping” Big Girl Room

Description

There was only one request from the inhabitant of this room... pink.  Nothing more and nothing less.  While she wanted everything pink we struck a balance that made us both happy with a good bit of green and blue and a healthy dose of white.

Design Inspiration

After inheriting a bed from a local summer camp we decided to embrace its heritage but also stay true what the {almost} three year old princess had declared for the color scheme.... PINK!

Decorating Style

I am drawn to color when decorating my own home.  All white looks so great in print and I always contemplate giving it a try... but pattern and color win for me every single time.

Favorite Items

The one item that makes me happiest in the room is the handmade dust ruffle procured from the Goodwill for only $4!  It was the most perfect find to pull all the colors together and give us the vitange girl camp feel I was after.

Advice

When a color such as pink is being insisted upon in large doses you need to temper it down whever possible.  Here is was with the neutral gray walls and white duvet.

What is woven home? I have a dresser painted same color as bed and I'm looking for curtains that color?

Cute! My daughter has the same bed but we painted it white. Love it in pink!
