Favorite Items

The photobooth was, hands down, the most fun! I can't believe how great the pictures turned out w/ a simple digital point & shoot!

Advice

It's not about spending a ton of money--you can get creative.  I think it's the details & the food that really make a party great.

hawahawa,

The photo booth was a huge hit. People had a lot of fun playing with the props & I was amazed at how good the photos turned out (with just a regular old Canon point & shoot). The key was the white plastic sheeting on the sides of the photo booth. (It was white plastic table cloth.) It filtered the light & made the pics. turn out great. :)

Photo booths are expensive though so I built my own out of a free shipping crate I found someone giving away on Craigslist. (Actually--he was giving away 24 of them--I took nearly all of them & turned them into all sorts of other furniture. You can see it at www.LoveSissy.com on the "PROJECS-Before & Afters" page. There' s a whole slide show of shipping crates repurposed.

The photo booth idea is so cool. I haven't seen baby showers with photo booths.
