Travel the World Nursery

Description

We wanted to share our love of travel with our new baby girl. Since we will be moving soon, we kept the walls neutral but made the room fun and girly with pinks and turquoise. I used trains, planes, boats and pictures of places around the world to highlight the travel theme. We hope our little girl embarks on great adventures and experiences what the world can offer!

Design Inspiration

I looked online for inspiration as well as coming up with ideas on my own.

Decorating Style

Most of the items in the room are DIY. I wanted to keep the room low cost but did add a few purchased items that I couldn't resist!

Project Details

Suitcase Shelves & Blanket: Pottery Barn Kids/Teen

Eiffel Tower Lamp, World Pillow and Eiffel Tower Pillow: Target

Curtains: Kohls

I made the clouds and hot air balloons. I bought the plane model and assembled and painted it to match the room. The train was bought online and painted as well. I used old frames that I found in a relative's garage sale to make the art on the wall. I spray painted the frames and filled them with DIY art or pictures printed from online.

Favorite Items

My favorite items are the clouds and the wall of pictures. I put a lot of effort into making them and picking out the perfect quotes and pictures for our baby girl. I also really like the globe night light. Our 20 month old really loves it, so I know our 2nd will too!
