Description:
I wanted to create a nursery that was cozy and girly, without being overly pink.
-
Design Inspiration:
Grey is very 'on trend' right now, and so most of our house is grey. I wanted to keep it consistent with the rest of the house, but still a room with it's own style. My husband has always collected little owl trinkets etc and so we decided to keep Owls as a theme as well.
-
Decorating Style:
Modern, with a touch of handmade.
-
Project Details:
I made the mobile above the change table using embroidery hoops, ribbon and felt. The decal was custom made by Tweet Heart Wall Art from Etsy.com. The canvas and ribbon tree where a gift from my Mother-In-Law for our baby shower, she made both of them.
-
Favorite Items:
The decal! It turned out so perfectly!
-
Advice:
Don't be afraid to use a darker colour in a small space. Our nursery is quite small, and people were nervous about us using the darker grey on the wall. But the room doesn't look any smaller, but gave that cozy feel I was looking for.
