A mix of bright and neutral are brought together to create a stylish and comfortable nursery for a little girl (and her parents).
Design Inspiration:
I started with the rug and the chair. I knew I wanted the orange Monte glider/recliner, but it took a long time to decide on a rug. Originally we thought about getting a neutral beige rug to go with the paint color of the room; then we stumbled upon this bright rug from Home Decorators and it seemed neutral enough for a little boy, but bright enough to complement a little girl's room; plus, I love the contrast of the teal/turquoise in the rug against the orange of the chair.
Decorating Style:
We really splurged on the rug and chair so we tried to be sensible about the rest of the furniture, buying pieces that would last and be usable down the road (e.g., convertible crib, Ikea dresser/changing table, nothing too cutesy).

Advice:
Create a design board with images of the items that you like so you can pare down or build up your design as necessary before making big purchases.

Such a clean-looking and charming nursery. I love the mobile and the owl artwork. I am not a big fan of the tree decal, but the owls are just too cute!

where did you get the side table next to your rocker?

We ordered the side table from Amazon. It’s the Winsome Wood Genoa End Table.
