Description:
My son had a super rad SURFER 7th birthday party! He picked blue and orange with a pop of green as his color scheme and I went for a very beachy overall feel . Best part is that this party was done on a REAL budget and I think we ot our bang for our buck! Photos were taken by Maggie Russo Photo ~ Chicago

Design Inspiration:
My son wanted a surf party in his favorite colors and we went from there!
-
Decorating Style:
Vintage is my favorite. I like to mix old and new and I like to repurpose items for different uses whenever I can!
-
Project Details:
For this project I shopped the dollar section of Target and the Dollar store mostly. The cupcakes are on surfboard shaped cork boards from Target for $2.50 ea and the shelf of favors all came from dollar tree.
I used the lanterns on the table in more of a beach ball fashion rather than hanging them.
I custom designed printables so that everything tied together and the party theme was carried throughout.
-
Favorite Items:
My favorite is the amazing cake and cookies that my sisier made. I also thought the shark fin ice in the punch was fun too!
-
Advice:
Start shopping well in advance. Try to stick to a color scheme and use found objects in unexpected ways.
