Design Inspiration

There’s something about the beginning of the summer season that makes everyone feel lighthearted, fresh and full of life, and we were instantly inspired to recreate that vibe in our design. Color is the key to bringing the outdoors in: focusing on floral pinks and oranges, sky blue, grassy green and rich, neutral browns, we developed a vibrant palette that felt both youthful and refreshing.

Decorating Style

At Layla Grayce, we love nothing more than original, one-of-a-kind style that is as current as it is timeless. While you’ve probably heard it a million times, the phrase is true: the secret is all in the mix. We began with classic, neutral furnishings from Babyletto to create a strong foundation that will truly stand the test of time. From there, we introduced bright, modern accents: graphic artwork, a border frame rug and a Skip Hop crib set with a spirited, colorful pattern to keep the nursery playfully up-to-date.

Favorite Items

The Babyletto Hudson crib is one of our all-time favorites, and a continuous Layla Grayce bestseller. Its mid-century modern design means the piece is effortlessly classic, while its four adjustable mattress positions and ability to convert into a daybed or toddler bed offer endless functionality. And of course, we adore Suzette the Fox doll from Blabla. Hand knit by Peruvian artists and bursting with whimsy, Blabla dolls provide any nursery scheme the perfect finishing touch and your child an irresistibly cuddly best friend.

Advice

First things first: seek high quality, trustworthy furnishings that ensure your child’s safety while also setting the base for your design. Once those are in place, have some fun! Look for accessories that embrace a fresh, lively spirit, and create a sanctuary that both you and your little one will find comforting, inviting and full of youthful charm.

This one is my favorite! I love how you can make a cool girls nursery without having to make it completely pink/purple. Love this one.

This is my favorite because it is the color scheme set up for my niece. She has teals and reds. It is something she can grow with. Isn’t babyish, or too girl, but is pretty and delicate for the great infant she will be. I love the fitted crib sheet

I love this one! I just bought an espresso colored crib and I have the Skip Hop Springtime Birdies collection – its great to have so many colors and not just have pink with a baby girl!

AMAAAAZING! I am obsessed with this look. I already had in mind these colors for my littles ones nest but I didn’t have it all together. She arrives in October and I can’t wait to be inspired by this room. It truly has my imaginary juices flowing. The colors are soothing to the eye. I know something like this would being peace to any baby and parents. So perfect. Thank you so much for sharing.

This is my favorite nursery in the group. My go-to decorating is to mix styles, instead of going too match-y, match-y. I like that this look mixes bird/floral with more geometrics like the wall stripes and zig zags in the print over the crib. The springtime birdie crib bedding set is also my favorite set.

  42. 42
  43. 43

Out of all four designs, this is my favorite. The strips on the wall invites you right in and the solid bold color of the wooden crib and changing table makes such a huge statement throughout the space. The pop of color everywhere in the room is in the perfect spot. You can tell it was well thought out. All the designs were functional, however this design will be the easiest to covert when the child gets older and it leaves so much room for imagination, and that is what every child needs!

  44. 44

super adorable! I love the modern yet soft touches. I might have to do stripes for our nursery!

  45. 45
  46. 46

The best thing (& why it is my favorite) about this nursery is the understated prettiness of it all. The attention to detail, the color scheme, & the furniture are all tied together in one absolutely vivid & beautiful room. And it is such, that as baby grows, it will grow with her, & not feel like it is too baby. Adoration!
