I wanted a nursery that was pretty and comfortable but did not have any particular theme. The walls are a pretty shade of blue with pink accents for pop.
Design Inspiration:
My inspiration was to make the nursery sweet and feminine but not over the top. I love the light blue walls with the dark brown rocking chair. I tried to add furniture and accessories that would complement those colors. The baby furniture is all white and I thought the pink accents added a subtle feminine feeling to the nursery.

The rocking chair is an antique and made from my husband's great aunt. The branch decal over the crib is from Dali Decals. The paper flower wall decor is from Etsy. The 'Garden Friends' baby mobile can be found at Creative Home Accents. The decorative pillows were purchased at Restoration Hardware 'baby & child'. I bought the white changing table off of Craig's List. The pink and brown fabric boxes for storage are from Target. The pink, brown and white polka dot rug is from Pottery Barn Kids. The peek-a-boo cow and mouse canvas wall art is created by artist Yuko Lau and can be ordered off of Art.com. The white and brown tulip lamp next to the changing table is from Crate and Barrel. The hand thrown pottery vase is from Etsy. I made the paper flowers to put in the pottery vase. A tutorial to make these flowers can be found on the website Pioneer Woman Home and Garden. The light pink baby booties are from Etsy. The ballerina sculptures are from Steal Street. The cross stitch framed 'S' was made by my mother.

Advice:
Pick two items as a source for inspiration either in color or theme and then build around it.
