Kavi's nursery is a mix of Safari elements I started collecting when we found out we were expecting. At the time I didn't know the sex so I wanted to keep with color choices that would work for a boy or a girl. We've recently moved into a new house and I haven't had time to paint the walls yet (builders beige is boring I know). I haven't decided yet on what color it will be. Hmmm...
Design Inspiration
I've always been inspired by the Disney movie 'The Jungle Book'.Ā I wanted his nursery to be a mix of African and traditional with a hint of modern.

Project Details
The bedding, crib, bookshelf,Ā curtain andĀ curtain rod are all from Target. The dresser was all white and from Wal-Mart online. It was a little too plain for me so I stenciled some girafffe print on and painted it. I used acrylic paint along with paint markers. The rug is from Pier 1.
Favorite Items
My favorite item would be thee diaper stacker. Love the mix of animal prints!!
Advice
Do as much DIY as you can handle. It definately cuts down on the cost of an inpending birth.

I like the earth tones you used for your nursery. You really have nothing to worry about. You did a great job and I think your little guy will grow loving his room.
