Description

I wanted Rylynn's nursery to be totally unique. I'm not so into "themes" and I really loved putting the room together piece by piece. I wanted it to be bright and colorful and a room that I would enjoy spending time in. My husband came up with the design for the crib and built it, and my family came down for a weekend and painted the room and furniture in a single day. I love that my family had a hand in creating my dream nursery, it makes it that much more special for my daughter. I really love how it turned out and can't wait for my baby girl to get here so we can hang out in here together!

Design Inspiration

My husband built the crib-I wanted it to be the focus of the room. Once he finished it, I tried to find colors and patterns that would compliment his beautiful handiwork.

Decorating Style

I'm pretty eclectic. I end up putting DIY pieces next to store bought and end up with sort of a modern DIY chic thing.

Advice

Don't feel like you have to go with a theme! Just pick pieces that make you happy and you will create a space that does just that.

Such a happy and colorful room. And that’s a very uniquely designed crib you have there.
