Being my December baby, a winter onederland 1st birthday party sounded like a great idea. The house is already decorated for Christmas, why not add a few more elements to pull a first birthday together.

Advice
I like to spend more time & energy on a party than money. I try to borrow or reuse as many items as possible & go with a theme that is seasonally easy to find items for. For a cold december night, soup & salad was an easy menu choice & guests could enjoy hot chocolate afterwards. The favors were little take home bags they could fill with treats from the dessert bar. For a first birthday, we tried to do something very special but on a budget & the timing fit a winter onederland theme best!
