We wanted to create a modern feel to the nursery with bright colors that would provide stimulus as he grows.
Design Inspiration:
We started with designing the bedding at a local boutique and expanded from there. We chose paint a few shades lighter than the color of the bedding and then added the modern touches with furniture, lighting, and wall art to top it off.
Decorating Style:
We opted to go with a modern/transitional style since we were having a baby boy. We wanted something that would transition with him into his toddler years as well, which this should do nicely. We like clean, straight lines with minimal accessories.
Project Details:
We purchased all furniture online from giggle.com. We started with the glider from Monte Designs, and the crib and bookshelves are made by oeuf. The rug and ceiling light were both purchased online and we picked up the floor lamp and dresser from Ikea, as well as the dog tail hooks. The nightlight and mobile were gifts, but were also purchased at giggle.com. The orange wall art was purchased from spotonsquare.com.
Favorite Items:
My favorite item is the pendant light as it adds a very cool and modern feel..

Wow!! This is fantastic. I love the night light, and how bright the area around the crib is. Perfect!

Thanks Jessica! I forgot to mention in the project details that the lighting above the crib only cost us $15 from IKEA.

I really like that this nursery is modern, yet with warm and cozy colors and elements (which most modern spaces really do not have).

would love to know where you got the round orange circles lamp!
I know you said that the rug was purchased online, do you happen to remember where?

I love the color tones in this room because the combination is modern but not cold. Can you please provide the name of the blue paint color on the walls? It’s a lovely space – congrats!
