Reese’s Spunky Nursery

Description

I wanted to design her nursery with bright, cheerful colors. I wanted the wall color and furniture to be something that she could grow with.

Design Inspiration

When looking at material for bedding I knew that I wanted fabric with bright colors, but I also wanted to mix in the deep, rich brown.  I wanted her room to be bright and cheerful.  I wanted it to be a little spunky and fun.

Decorating Style

I have a very eclectic decorating style.  I like to take many different pieces and make them all work together.  In the case of Reese's baby nursery I knew I wanted bright and cheerful, but I wanted the dark contrast of the rich wood and dark brown in her bedding.

Project Details

You can find a more detailed look at her nursery by going to crossmyheartartdesigns.blogspot.com.

Favorite Items

One of my favorite items in her nursery is her disco ball chandelier.  I loved it the minute I saw it and knew it would be that finishing touch for her room.

Advice

Once I picked out the bedding I was able to pick out all of the other pieces much easier.  The bedding was my focal point and from there I picked the paint, furniture, and chandelier.  Pick out the one or two items that mean the most, make that your focal point, and then work out from there.  Have fun with it!

I actually made the cross :)  You can see my other items at crossmyheartd.etsy.com or crossmyheartartdesigns.blogspot.com.  I got the chandelier from a place here in Texas called First Monday Trade Days in Canton.  Thank you!!!

Where did you get that cross with the word believe in it.  That stole my attention!  And where did you get that funky chandelier?
