A Project For
A rustic, pink, "ready to pop" themed baby shower welcoming a little girl.
We served BBQ at the baby shower (yes, it's a bit untraditional but it's one of the mom-to-be's favorites!) and thought it would be cute to bring a (glamorous) picnic indoors.
Whimsical, rustic, southern, refined.
The room was decorated with sweet pink and green flowers in rustic vases surrounded by floating candles in mason jars arranged on a long wood picnic table surrounded by benches. We also brought these arrangements into the other spaces (bathroom, outdoor patio).
Almost everything served on the dessert table was themed "ready to pop:" cake pops, popcorn, pop rocks, pop tarts, lollipops, and champagne.
You don't have to spend a lot to create a unique space. We used very inexpensive flowers (carnations) and some twine to create a soft backdrop for the dessert table. You can really transform a room using very little supplies.
The baby bottles filled with bellini champagne mix for the non-pregnant guests to enjoy!
Pick a theme and run with it! Think through all the details when planning...and not just the colors - think about the feeling you want your guests to have when they walk in.
