Pretty in Pink Nursery

Description

This Project has become a labor of Love! Most of the room is DIY and incorporates old and new peices of furniture. I wanted to have a little bit of a vintage feel but with a simple look. This room is still a work in progress, so any suggestions would help!

Design Inspiration

I searched for months online and in stores to pick the colors and the design I wanted for the room. When I couldnt find what I wanted I decided to make most of the items myself. The tree was my main focal point in the room.

Project Details

The crib and dresser came from BabysRUs. The Bedding, changing table pad cover and curtains were handmade by my mother-in-law and myself, made with fabrics from Joanns. The tree decal Vynl Vinyard . The Flowers on the mirror and tree were handmade by myself, fabric from Joanns.  The Recliner Biglots. The Changing table was refurbished and repainted from my first child. The mirror was also refubished and repainted. The Shadow boxes and growth chart were handmade by a Laura O'Connel Studios. The Butterfly chandelier was also made by myself , all supplies from Joanns. The Lamp, HomeGoods. The Girlie Girl picture, Hobby Lobby.

Favorite Items

My favorite items would have to be the tree, flowers and the butterfly chandelier.

It's a feminine room, yet still simple and without the clutter of too much ruffles, florals and other conventionally girly details.

It's nice that you incorporated those pretty little flowers that you made yourself. They are really lovely and they give the room some personal touch.
