Pottery Barn "Brooke" Room

A little girls room that is bright and happy. Great for a shared space or a room to grow in to.

Design Inspiration

When searching for a crib bedding set I kept getting drawn to the pottery barn Brooke set. I did not want to spend the money and I searched and searched but could not find anything I liked more. Most little girl sets are all pink. I liked that this set was girly and frilly without the pepto bismal!

Decorating Style

What ever I can find at a good price! I love hunting for good deals and using places like eBay, Etsy and Craigslist.

Project Details

Almost everything you see here was cheap, free, or found at a good deal! Almost... We got the twin bed at a yard sale, the crib was given to us and the doll house bookshelf and changing table were great deals on craigslist. The dollhouse bookshelf was made exactly like the pottery barn one by someones grandpa. So instead of costing me 400.00 it was only $40.00! I had a friend make my open faced hanging bookshelf along time ago from when i had a home daycare. I got the twin pottery barn bedding from eBay instead of paying full price on potterybarn.com. The crib set was pieced together by friends at our shower. I incorporated some accent pieces form Target's love and nature line by circo that has owls. I got the tree decal on eBay. To make it more cohesive I also bought the target decals but only used one owl from the set. Most of teh misc. decor items like the laundry basket, storage baskets, birdhosues, owl chairs etc. were just lucky finds at places like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Homegoods, Big Lots, Michaels crafts, Beall's Outlet..etc. I got the small book shelf at a yard sale for 5 dollars. To add a personal touch I had my nieces and nephew do some crafts to help decorate her room. They painted wooden bird houses and made the pictures hanging on the wall of the trees, owl, & bird. Also handmade are the owl and tree hooks painted to match the pottery barn bedding. Oh, and the bird mobile is also from pottery barn but is discontinued and was purchased on eBay. They match so perfectly and the detail and quality is amazing. This was one of my splurge items since the letters were 14.00 each but after receiving them I would have paid 25.00 each. They are so nicely done! She makes letters to match all sorts of bedding sets and does custom orders. And I had them shipped in less than a week and the costumer service was great...Thanks Nancy!
