Pink, Ivory and Grey Twin Girls Nursery

Description

When we found out our twins were two girls, I knew immediately I wanted something very feminine and girly, without using an overwhelming amount of pink.  I also wanted a lot of storage and organization, because I knew when the girls got here it was going to be very helpful if everything had its place!

Design Inspiration

I based all the colors off the bedding: soft greys, taupes and pale pinks. I also wanted colors that could transition easily into a toddler room in the future.  I did want a little bit of bright and fun pink, so I went pink crazy in the closet, it makes me smile very time I open those doors!

Decorating Style

The rest of my apartment is done in feminine shades of grey, taupe, aqua, with bits of pink in throw pillows and candles, so the nursery design was a perfect fit.

Favorite Items

I love my glider, it was a bargain from JCPenneys and is the most comfortable chair!  I spend a lot of time in it feeding my girls, and rocking them when they are crying, so I am certainly glad I have it!

Advice

Think of your color scheme before you start buying and stick to it, it helped me stay on track when I saw cute things that really didn't go with the look I was going for!  Also, wait for sales, I bought all my RH Baby and Child items during a special 25% off your entire order promotion, it really helped since I had to buy two of everything!
