Pastel Iridescent Unicorn Party

Description

I can’t tell you how much fun I had creating this magical party for my darling little girl. Choosing a theme was pretty easy as I wanted a party that was magical, beautiful and sparkly. What else would I choose but unicorns, flowers and rainbows? The inspiration came from the stunning invitation I found from Socalcrafty and some iridescent fabric I found at my local craft store. Since Lily was turning two, I wanted a unicorn silhouette that represented something more youthful. I found the most adorable images at Everything Nice and began creating on my Cricut Explore machine.

For the backdrop, I wanted tissue paper flowers with a hint of gold to tie everything together and accent an ornate frame I have in our kitchen. It turned out dreamy! I am in love with anything iridescent so I went for a rainbow sequin tablecloth and added pastel dessert stands, along with a handmade fabric banner. Of course, we had to have a piñata on display. I found the most amazing artist that can do just about anything. She made not only a mama unicorn but also a baby. Super cute!!! A three tier pie crust table displayed a welcome sign, party hats and party favors for the little ones. In each party box there was a twisted sucker, clear bouncy ball with stars, bubbles and a unicorn bath toy. A beautiful vintage high chair was dressed with an iridescent fabric banner and large pastel unicorn balloon.

For centerpieces, I painted wide mouth 32 ounce mason jars in pastel colors and then added a glittery gold unicorn. The silhouettes were cut out on vinyl with the Cricut Explorer machine. I used the outline of the silhouette as my painting template, added mod podge, and then glitter. They were the perfect addition to this adorable party. I filled them with a variety of rainbow colored flowers from a local flower mart.

Gold unicorns, pastel balloons, along with a happy birthday banner topped off this spectacular party. It was so much fun to put together and all my little girl kept saying was “Ohhhhh pretty!” as she pointed at everything. She was obviously pleased with the outcome.
