Surface Inspired Wall Decals and Wall Art
This was a design challenge…First, the room is super small and to create a functioning nursery without feeling cramped was difficult. Second, I had no idea how many gray colors were out there for paint! We must have tried 15 different shades before we FINALLY found our perfect color.
This is the final Grey, Yellow and White, Cloud themed nursery for my newest little boy Andrew. After searching here, pinterest and Etsy, I decided to try and DIY this room. I ended up making about 90% of the items and loved every minute of this labor of love.
The overall decor comes from a variety of sources; both hand crafted objects as well as purchased. This project was a day by day experiment but I’m quite happy with the end results. The wall mural is hand-painted acrylic and was quite the lengthy project but I wanted to incorporate a very real and personal touch to the room. What better than my very own mural.

This room is for a very special boy.
Mom wanted an eclectic room design that was bold and sweet at the same time. We took the bold black and white stripes, and sweetened it with metallic gold accents and gradient aqua baby bedding to die for.
When Veronica’s Mami and Daddy contacted Amelia’s Decorating and Design a couple months ago- they were in their second trimester and wanted nothing but the best for Baby Veronica. We went all out and were able to complete this look with a lot of DIY projects done by us. It’s all in the details.
These rooms are for two very special, much prayed for and hoped for little boys, and are the result of a mama who has wanted to be a mama for a VERY long time! We wanted a perfect room for our twin baby boys to share that wasn’t too babyish and would transition well as they grow into little men.
I designed this nursery for our first child.
Our customer was dreaming of a classic and elegant boy room with the colors blue and white. After deciding on the furniture, we gone through many fabric options and finally prefered to use a wonderful blue silk dupion for the bedding with some white and natural accessories. The result is a soft and calming room with elegant touches.
Inspired by a favorite fabric and a mom-to-be’s love of purple, I designed this coral and lavender nursery to be light and bright with hints of this happy and unexpected color combination.
My husband and I didn’t find out the sex of our baby so I needed to come up with a nursery design that was gender neutral and didn’t scream yellow and green or gray. I have a love for anything DIY, so adding some pine wainscotting, new closet doors, a fresh coat of paint and colorful decor was what made the perfect nursery for our sweet babe. A few months after finishing the room, we welcomed a baby girl, Lyric, in September and she loves her slumber pad just as much as we do. A gold letter “L” now hangs on the wall behind the glider and made the perfect final touch.
A vivacious colorful nursery for two.
We wanted to create a chic, modern, clean Paris Themed nursery. I definitely wanted to incorporate the Eiffel Tower while having it feel fresh and new. We are in love with the final results!!
I wanted soft colors in Brody’s baby blue boy nursery and planned to use both new and old pieces. I chose the simple Jenny Lind Crib for it’s timeless look and inexpensive price tag. I owned the white swivel chair, ottoman, dresser and mirror already and knew I would be able to utilize those in his room. I had plans to keep the room mostly gender neutral with just a few pops of blue. I love the way the room turned out with a bit of modern, rustic, traditional and a touch of antique.

The day I went into have an Ultra Sound to find out the gender of our Baby #2, I KNEW I was having a boy and already had his name picked out. As soon as the Dr. confirmed it, I looked over to my husband Dave and said well, it’s official. His name is going to be Canon. From that day, I started planning on what his nursery would look like. I loved the color combination of kelly green and navy. In my opinion it just screamed boy, and I knew it would work really well with some of the traditional furniture we already had.
