Cloud Themed Nursery for Baby Andrew

This was a design challenge…First, the room is super small and to create a functioning nursery without feeling cramped was difficult. Second, I had no idea how many gray colors were out there for paint! We must have tried 15 different shades before we FINALLY found our perfect color.
This is the final Grey, Yellow and White, Cloud themed nursery for my newest little boy Andrew. After searching here, pinterest and Etsy, I decided to try and DIY this room. I ended up making about 90% of the items and loved every minute of this labor of love.

Modern & Whimsical Gender Neutral Nursery

My husband and I didn’t find out the sex of our baby so I needed to come up with a nursery design that was gender neutral and didn’t scream yellow and green or gray.  I have a love for anything DIY, so adding some pine wainscotting, new closet doors, a fresh coat of paint and colorful decor was what made the perfect nursery for our sweet babe.  A few months after finishing the room, we welcomed a baby girl, Lyric, in September and she loves her slumber pad just as much as we do.  A gold letter “L” now hangs on the wall behind the glider and made the perfect final touch.

Brody’s Baby Blue Boy Nursery

I wanted soft colors in Brody’s baby blue boy nursery and planned to use both new and old pieces.  I chose the simple Jenny Lind Crib for it’s timeless look and inexpensive price tag.   I owned the white swivel chair, ottoman, dresser and mirror already and knew I would be able to utilize those in his room.  I had plans to keep the room mostly gender neutral with just a few pops of blue.  I love the way the room turned out with a bit of modern, rustic, traditional and a touch of antique.

Blue & Green Vintage Preppy Nursery

The day I went into have an Ultra Sound to find out the gender of our Baby #2, I KNEW I was having a boy and already had his name picked out.  As soon as the Dr. confirmed it, I looked over to  my husband Dave and said well, it’s official.  His name is going to be Canon.  From that day, I started planning on what his nursery would look like. I loved the color combination of kelly green and navy.  In my opinion it just screamed boy, and I knew it would work really well with some of the traditional furniture we already had.
