Our Little Jitterbug Second Birthday Party

Description

A Jitterbug inspired theme for our little ones second birthday party. We wanted a few modern touches so we chose to go with different colors than traditional pink for a girls birthday, while still keeping it girly adding in the zebra print and plenty of fun touches.

Design Inspiration

Our daughter's nickname is "Buggy" and she loves music and dancing. A jitterbug party was the perfect fit!

Decorating Style

I like to do things that are a little bit traditional but with a modern twist, using a really great invitation to set the tone, find some colors we love and build the party around that.

Favorite Items

The invitations are my favorite! They were made by Becca at Cake Events, the whole party was built around them!

Advice

My advice, start early. Pick a theme, or colors you love and build your party. By starting early it'll help you narrow down the best deals, and ideas that you want to use and help with your budget to save money by starting early. Also, don't try to do everything yourself. If you have talented friends or family let them help, it'll save you time and sanity.

I think that the invitation is my favorite as well. It's unique and it's something that most kids would have no idea about but the parents would surely recognize, or would they?
